8 beaches in Leucate for seaside holidays in the south of France
The five Leucatian entities share the 18 km of fine sand of the Leucate coast labeled Blue Flag since 1997. The width varies from 400 m (Coussoules beach to La Franqui) to a few meters for the very sheltered Plagette at the foot of the cliff from Leucate Plage. Their eastern exposure allows valiant or night owls to admire fabulous sunrises.
In contrast, the pond of Leucate also offers small beaches bathed in very warm and shallow waters. Lovers of late afternoon holidays in Leucate can enjoy magnificent sunsets against the backdrop of Canigou and Corbières alone.
